Refund policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

Template, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It describes what our website and software really do, but the wording still needs legal review, and items in [brackets] are placeholders to fill in.

We want you to be happy with what you play. If something isn’t right, tell us: most problems can be fixed, and if they can’t, we’ll make it right.

Games bought on a store

If you bought a Lowfire game on a store such as Steam, the store sold it to you and its refund policy applies. Request the refund from the store. We can’t refund store purchases ourselves, but we’re happy to help with any problem.

Games bought from us directly

If you bought a game directly from us:

  • Within 14 days of purchase and less than 2 hours played: email support@lowfire.ly with your order details and we’ll refund you in full, no questions asked.
  • Outside that window: tell us what went wrong. If the game doesn’t work as described and we can’t fix it, we’ll refund you.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of being agreed.

EU and UK customers: when you buy digital content, the law gives you a 14-day right to withdraw, which you can give up when you ask for the download to start straight away. Even where you’ve given it up, our refund offer above still stands, and your rights when content is faulty or not as described are never affected.

Free software

Hearth, Lowfire Setup, the Patcher and any free games or demos cost nothing, so there’s nothing to refund, but support is the same for everyone.
