The studio

A low fire, the kind people sit around

Lowfire is a small independent studio. We make games for people in the same room, and the tools that install, update and look after them.

The name

A low fire is the one people sit around late at night, when the talking gets good. Low-fire is also the gentle firing a potter gives work that should stay soft and warm. We want our games to feel like both: warm and close, but made by hand.

The mark is a heavy L that forms a hearth, with a two-tipped fire burning in it: two players sharing one flame. Mirrored, the L becomes the square-Kufic ل that begins لوفاير, our name in Arabic. It always faces the way you read.

01What we believe

Games should bring people closer, not farm them

  1. Same room first

Couch co-op, shared screens and pass-the-controller moments are the heart of what we make. Online can come later; closeness comes first.

  2. Respect the player

No ads, no loot boxes, no dark patterns, no tracking. Buy a game once and it's yours, and it plays offline.

  3. Open to tinkering

Every setting reachable, tweaks for how you play, and mods supported from the start, with a load order and conflict checks.

  4. Two languages, both first

Everything we make speaks English and Arabic as equals, and mirrors properly from right to left, from the logo to the last menu.

02How we build

Our own tools, end to end

Our games are made in Godot 4 with Kiln, our own layer of systems for settings, saves, menus, controllers and mods, so each new game starts warm.

Players get them through Hearth, our launcher, and Lowfire Setup, our installer. Both use one update engine that stores builds as content-defined chunks, so updates stay small and every file is checked before it's used.
